Your Child Can Read! is the follow-up program to the Your Baby Can Learn! Series. For children who recognize at least 50 written words or children 5 years and older.

Your Baby Can Learn! American English Special Edition 5-Level Kit:

For children ages 3 months to 5 years. Our new English series has updated books, word cards, and videos!

Videos include the Classic version and the Newer version of our popular series! The new Volume 1 Sentences video also has additional sentences shown on the screen as they are spoken, adding many more written words! The videos also include samples of Your Child Can Read!, Your Child Can Discover!, and of Your Baby Can Learn! in other languages.

If you choose DVDs, you will receive 5 Special Edition DVDs, each with at least 2 videos for a total of 11 Your Baby Can Learn! videos. DVDs are region-free and include the American English versions of the videos. If you choose digital access to the videos, you will receive a code that you may redeem for the videos on our digital store. Digital Your Baby Can Learn! videos include the American and British English versions of each volume, and may be streamed and downloaded to apps on multiple devices for offline viewing. 

The Lift-the-Flap Books now include more images for most key words, along with larger sentences! Each book includes a page of word games. Some volumes of the Sliding Word Cards have many new images plus small numbers that correspond to the five volumes of YBCL for easy sorting. The Milestone Cards teach different concepts in each volume of cards and include a word matching game.

• 10 Early Literacy Sliding Books: Early Literacy Sliding Books are designed to be some of the first books that your young child can read. Children get to see sentences on the main pages of the book and then again on the sliding tabs. From the creators of Your Baby Can Learn! Our new Early Literacy Sliding Books are designed to teach children literacy skills including learning to read individual words, phrases, sentences, and books as well as introducing phonics skills. Early Literacy Sliding Books are color-coded by volume and include Body Parts, First Words, Actions, Numbers, Animals, Colors/Colours, Feelings, Objects, Animal Rhymes, and Word Patterns.

• 10 Double-Sided Sliding Phonics Cards: Sliding Phonics Cards allow your young child to learn analytical phonics through play! Have fun forming over 70 rhyming words by pulling the image and letter tabs. Part of the Your Child Can Read series—the follow-up to the Your Baby Can Learn program. These cards have been redesigned for a new version!

• 40 Lift-the-Flap Language Cards: 40 lift-the-flap cards with words and pictures. Each of the five volumes of cards included is designed to focus on important language development areas for your child. This is our updated version of these cards.

• 177 Shape Bias Language Cards: 177 double-sided cards with words, pictures, and descriptive sentences. These cards are numbered to match the Teaching Cards and are designed to help the child learn the shape bias. The shape bias is an important concept for babies and toddlers because the rate of word learning improves once the child learns that the shapes of objects (such as chairs, books, cups, etc.) generally provide more information about the objects’ functions than their colors, textures, sizes, or materials.
